Letter from Our VP Membership
Alison Convery-Johnson
Dear Potential New Members,
It is a honor to serve as the Delta Gamma Epsilon Psi Chapter’s Vice President of Membership. To start off, making the decision to join Delta Gamma was the best decision of my college career. College is a time where you can choose who you want to be. I found that in the Epsilon Psi chapter here at Rutgers. While the university itself may seem big, I found my home away from home here at 4 Union Street.
When I went through formal recruitment my sophomore year, I went in searching for girls who shared the same values as me, girls who can uplift in times of trouble, and be my support system. College is the start of the rest of your life, where you can choose your own path whether it’s your career or the people you call “friends”. The women here at Delta Gamma showed me that there’s much more to a friendship than a label. Here at Delta Gamma, you can find equality, loyalty, and positivity all around. Not only did I find my crowd, but I blossomed as a woman. Joining greek life allowed me to seek opportunities that I wouldn’t have sought before.
Delta Gamma has offered me a new path through leadership opportunities, alumni connections, and ways of giving back to the community. By being apart of Delta Gamma I have found a sense of responsibility and become apart of sisterhood that is built on “doing good” since we were established in 1873. Since then, Delta Gamma has served as a place for women to be themselves and reach their fullest potential. For those making the decision, Delta Gamma is here to welcome you with open arms.
